- Wow, it's been way too long since our last post
here. We've been busy in the Muzzy camp, we bought an in-ear monitor system
for everyone in the band. It's helped us tighten up a lot and we've been
able to develop more vocal parts for the songs. It's amazing what a difference
it's made. We've really been working hard to become as solid of a band as
we can be.
We've been getting out and doing some shows lately too. We had a good show
at AR3
in Arena and we'll be booking another show there soon. We also went on the
air with
Johnny, Greg and Mary at WJJO for the Capitol K-9 Marathon and played a
few songs
from Divine acoustically. At the end of April we played with a great band
from
Texas called Deaf
Pedestrians at Big E's and Sunday night at the Annex we got to
do our second show with King's
X who were excellent as always.
We have new t-shirts which we'll have up on the merchandise page
soon. There's
quite a few styles of men's and ladies shirts. You can get them at any upcoming
Muzzy
show.
There's some exciting stuff coming soon. We have quite a few big things
in the works.
Stay tuned for more info coming soon.
Come on out to our show this Saturday at Club
Tavern in Middleton and see what we've been up to...

the piece featured on the new Muzzy Luctin release, "Divine Intermission".
All prints are signed by the artist!! Look for Ken in open exibitions in
St. Paul, MN. in May & San Francisco in June. Further details coming

11/29/05 - The official release date of
the new CD, "Divine Intermission". Finally!!!!!!
10/19/05 - Muzzy's new CD "Divine Intermission"
has been released to radio! Yesterday Johnny Danger played "Get
To You" on the WJJO morning show, Blake Patton played "Lurch"
during the noon hour and Randy Hawke played "Live With Yourself"
during the afternoon drive. Also, WMAD played "The End Of It"
on Sunday night. It was the first time any of the new songs have been played
on the radio.
We had a great show with Theory
Of A Deadman last night at The Dry Bean in Madison and
we're looking forward to our show this Friday at The Annex to celebrate
the release of the WMAD Rockin' The Midwest 2005 CD which includes
"The End Of It" from our new CD. At the moment, we are
waiting for our final master to come back from Yes Master in Nashville and
the actual release date will fall in mid-November. In the meantime, call
and request Muzzy on WJJO
at 608-321-0941 or on WMAD
at 608-321-0963.
9/5/05 - The Capital Times, one of Madison's major newspapers,
included Muzzy in a story about Hurricane relief. You can read it online
at: http://www.madison.com/archives/read.php?ref=tct:2005:09:05:494108:METRO
8/25/05 - Muzzy's new CD, "Divine Intermission" has been
completed! After countless hours of mixing, the final mixes were sent to
Nashville's Yes Master for mastering. The band also met with Mike Kerwin
at Nuclearview to finalize the CD artwork. We will have the final master
in our hands on September 9th and will then send the complete package out
for duplication. The CD will first be available at Rokker
Records.com, a local iTunes type of pay-per-download site, in
the next couple of weeks. The actual CDs will be available soon at the Muzzy
website and at a multitude of other locations locally and on the internet.
A CD release party is being planned and will be announced soon...
7/18/05 - We've had quite a few cool shows since our last post.
Both shows on the Union Terrace were a great experience. The band has wanted
to play up there for a long time and ended up playing two shows within one
week. We also had a well-received show at Maxwell Street Days this past
Saturday. It was incredibly hot and Mike got the worst of it but we had
a great time. Thanks to all of the cool people who signed up for our e-mail
list and thanks to Brett for getting us on the bill. We're glad to be getting
out and playing new material from the upcoming CD, which is still being
toiled over at the moment. I think we'll finally be able
to let go and release it very soon....in the meantime, don't miss our show
at the Dane
County Fair this Thursday at 7pm!
6/19/05 - Thanks to all who made it out to Fall River this past
Saturday to see us. It was nice to get out and play again and the band plans
on booking more shows soon. We'll be playing a lot to promote the new CD
including multiple CD release parties and some big outdoor shows this summer.
The mixing for the CD is now complete and we'll be spending the next couple
of weeks doing the final touchups, mastering, duplication and finally get
this released. The album art is 99% finished and looks great thanks to Ken's
artwork and Mike Kerwin's layout. We are pushing the release date back to
July but it will be well worth the long wait. After working on this for
as long as we have, we really want to make sure everything is as good as
can be. The band has a plan for reforming our ways though and we'll be completing
our next releases in a much shorter time frame. We already have some stuff
ready to go for the next one which will most likely be an EP. Stay tuned
for details on the final release date for "Divine Intermission"
coming very soon and don't miss our first ever appearance at the Memorial
Union Terrace on July 1st!!
4/29/05 - The new Muzzy CD, tentatively titled "Divine
Intermission", is nearing completion! Eight out of eleven
songs have been mixed so far and the final three will be
completed in the next couple of weeks. Mix touchups will follow and the
CD will be released this June. The band has also decided on the CD cover
artwork, which is one of vocalist Ken Thrift's new watercolor paintings.
Keep watching here for a preview of the cover art and audio samples from
the new disc to be posted soon!!
4/27/05 - Some of Ken Thift's watercolors are on display
for sale at the Wisconsin Trade Center in Middleton, WI. The paintings will
be displayed for the next six weeks. Ken will also have a booth at this
year's Art Fair On The Square on the Capital Square in Madison this summer.
Check out Ken's website at www.abstractwatercolors.com.
3/17/05 - Muzzy bassist Darren Soderholm will be joining Last Crack
on their European mini tour of Iceland and Holland. The band will be playing

Festival in Amstelveen, Holland on April 3rd opening for Fates
Warning. For more details go to the Last
Crack website.
3/16/05 - Mixes are underway for the new Muzzy CD. Two songs have
been mixed so far ("Fragile" and "Floaters")
and more will be completed this week. The band will be doing two mixes per
week until the CD is finished. The expected release date for the CD will
be sometime in late May. Artwork ideas are underway and
one of the possible cover ideas is a new watercolor from Muzzy's vocalist
Ken Thrift. Album titles are also floating around and will be announced
soon.
