4/26/04
- The Mifflin St. Block party show has been cancelled. There
was a problem in the booking of the show and the stage the band was to
play on is not happening. Another show has taken it's place though, Muzzy
will be playing the MTV
Campus Invasion at UW Whitewater this Thursday night (4/29)
at 8pm with HOOBASTANK. For

4/22/04 - Muzzy will be playing at the Mifflin St. Block Party in Madison
on May 1st. more details coming soon.
4/21/04 - Guitarist Paul Schluter and his wife Kaelie welcomed their
first child, Ethan Paul Schluter into the world late last week.
He was born on April 15, 2004.
4/8/04 - The show scheduled for May 1st at the Orpheum Theater has been
cancelled. we may be re-scheduling a show there in the future.

3/29/04 - Our first award!! Muzzy wins Best Rock
Band at the first annual Madison
Area Music Awards last night!
Ken and Darren were there to accept the award for the band. The entire event
was filmed for television broadcast. There will also be DVDs produced containing
the entire show. Over 40 awards in nearly twenty different genres of music were
given away. Thanks
to all who were involved in nominating and choosing Muzzy. We were all pleasantly
surprised.
3/25/04 - more new shows added!! Saturday May 1st we
will be playing our first show ever at the Orpheum Theater on
State St. in Madison. also on the bill are Sunspot and Thoughtcloud.
then, on Saturday May 15th we have our first show in Beaver
Dam at the Backstage Bar with our friends in Driver
13. we'll be debuting all of our new material at these shows
so don't miss them....
3/23/04 - this week begins bass tracking for the new CD. most of the
bass tracks for the new songs will be completed after the weekend. so
far Darren has finished "Angel Devil" and "Choice". Four
more to go and then we crank up the amps and guitar tracking begins.
3/2/04
- Muzzy comes out of hibernation this weekend at Four
Stools Short in Wisconsin Rapids. our friends Chemical
Smile will be opening the show. Muzzy will be playing
two long sets and will be debuting many new songs & pulling out all
kinds of old faves. it's been about 6 months since our last show (Halloween)
and it will be a few months until the next one since we are focusing
on recording.
3/1/04
- more progress on the new CD. the band has just recorded drum tracks
for the final 6 songs: "The End Of It", "Days
I Forget", "Lost Again" & "Floaters" (all
brand new songs). also: "Angel Devil" & "Choice" were
re-recorded. the other songs that will be included on the CD are: "Fragile", "Live
With Yourself", "Lurch", "Get To You" and "Tear
Me Down". these are the final picks and the new CD will include
all 11 songs.
2/11/04 - Muzzy has a full page feature article in the Belgian magazine Rock
Tribune this month (check
out the photo here). thanks to Rudi from Rock Tribune & Tamme,
Muzzy's main man in the Netherlands, for making it possible. we also had a review
of our debut CD "Symptoms" in the January 2004 issue.
2/6/04
- Muzzy is heading in to the studio again this month to record
more songs for the new CD. since recording in December the band has written three
new songs that we feel are very strong. we're planning on recording
them as well as "Floater", "Lost Again" & "Had
Enough" . we will also be re-recording "Choice" at
a faster tempo and "Angel/Devil" with
some small changes. we're still setting our sights on a May/June 2004
release and we'll be focusing only on the CD for the next couple of months.

- vote for Muzzy in the Madison
Area Music Awards. we have been nomited in the Best
Rock Band category. to vote,
just go to the online ballot (there's a link on the main page). the awards
ceremony will be held Sunday March 28th at the Orpheum on State St. in
Madison. all proceeds go to benefit the Madison School District Music
Programs.
1/11/04 - it's a new year and the band has 4 more new songs in
progress at Sleepless Nights Studios in Madison. "Choice", "Some
Delight", "AngelDevil" and "Fragile" were
recorded in late December and have completed drum tracks. we'll be finishing
up with the bass and guitar final tracks this week. our next batch begins
in early February when we record the final 3 songs "Lost
Again", "Floater" and "Had Enough".
we're making nice progress on everything so far and if things keep going
as
scheduled we will have our next CD out by May of this year.
1/10/04 - Belgian Rock Magazine, ROCK
TRIBUNE, will be reviewing Muzzy's "Symptoms
of a Simple Life" CD in the January 2004 issue and will also
be doing a feature article on the band in the February 2004 issue. one
of the
magazine's writers, Rudi Claeys, put "Symptoms" in
his Top Ten of 2003 at #3!

it's a live internet radio station. Muzzy's "Vinegar" and "River" are
in regular rotation. there's actually some really good bands on there.
