11/20/03 - The band has made the final picks for the 11 songs that will be on the next CD. it will be recorded at Sleepless Nights Recording Studios in Madison and the sessions begin in late December. we'll be including some older songs that have been crowd faves for the past couple of years, as well as some newer ones. we're pretty excited about getting back in the studio and we're really happy with the songs that have made the final cut. with everything we've learned from recording our last CD, "Symptoms of a Simple Life", the band feels confident that this will be our best stuff yet. look for it in Spring 2004.

11/2/03 - Thanks to all of the people who made it down to the Annex for the Solid Rockin' Halloween show!! we had a really great time. the band was dressed as chickens and Ken was KFC's Colonel Sanders. Ken gave out boxes of chicken to the crowd with Muzzy CDs inside. we were relieved that we were able to play our songs with the chicken heads on. it was impossible to see our instruments while wearing them. the band practiced for the last couple weeks with our eyes closed to be able to pull it off. we capped off the night with a rare cover, AC/DC's "Have A Drink On Me". Johnny and Greg from WJJO were supposed to come up on stage and join us but they disappeared mysteriously before our set.

10/22/03 - VOTE FOR MUZZY!!! we have joined in on the annual Isthmus Band To Band Combat. online voting will begin on Thursday, October 30th. visit thedailypage.com to place your vote!! Round I: 10/30 - 11/3, 9 am - Round II: 11/3, 10 am - 11/6, 9 am - Round III: 11/6, 10 am - 11/10, 9 am - Round IV: 11/10, 10 am - 11/12, noon. The final two bands will be announced in your 11/13 Isthmus and the finals will be held at the Annex on Thursday, 11/20.

10/21/03 - don't miss Muzzy at the WJJO "Solid Rockin' Halloween '03" show at the Annex on Friday, October 31st! it will be your last chance to see the band live for quite awhile. most likely we will not be playing live again until March 2004! the band is planning on taking the Winter months to write and record for the next CD.

10/4/03 - Muzzy's first show at the new Milwaukee club The Rock Shop was very cool. the crowd showed up early and were very receptive. big thanks to Michal Ashby and Sketchy for having us on the bill. we'll be back at The Rock Shop again very soon. watch for a Madison show with us, Sketchy and Skywind at the Annex in the near future.

9/7/03 - Ken joined Dosage on stage last night at Club Raven to sing backing vocals on their song "Over You". at the end of the night Dosage did a version of Muzzy's song "River" with Ken sharing lead vocals with Dosage vocalist Neil. Matt Fay (Muzzy's road manager) sat in on drums. Ken is also on Dosage's new CD (just released yesterday) doing backing vocals. pick up the CD at www.dosage-music.com.

9/1/03 - Muzzy will be contributing a new song to the WJJO "Rockin' The Midwest 2003" CD, to be released November 8th.

7/29/03 - "Symptoms of a Simple Life" CDs are now available at Exclusive Co. and B-Side Records on State St. in Madison.

7/28/03 - "Ripsnorter" was featured on the WJJO Local Stage on Sunday night. Congrats to Susan Masino on her 300th show!!

7/23/03 - the band will be heading into the studio this weekend to do a live pre-production demo. from this session the band will decide what songs to include on the next CD.

6/28/03 - our Summerfest show was quite an experience. the staff were really cool and the new stage was awesome!! the storm clouds started rolling in and we thought we might get rained out. it poured for awhile and then right before Muzzy's set it stopped and a huge rainbow appeared over the lake. it rained on and off throughout the night but RA and PRESENCE both played great sets. thanks to everyone who made it out and endured the weather. huge thanks to our crew (Matt, Mat, Trevor, Buef and Dave) for helping us out. we had the show videoed and we'll post some clips soon.

6/26/03 - "Live With Yourself" has a 5 out of 5 star average rating at garageband.com!! a pretty incredible feat considering there are so many songs currently being reviewed there. the song was only posted about a week ago and has been receiving a ton of reviews. check out the Live With Yourself page here - you can read all the reviews there as well.

6/20/03 - we just posted our new single "Live With Yourself" on garageband.com. they run sort of a song contest and the stats change daily. currently "River" has a 4.5 star rating (Only the top 1% of approximately 90,000 songs receive 4.5 stars or more). check out the Muzzy page at: http://www.garageband.com/artist/muzzy_luctin

6/19/03 - an initial mix of our song "Get To You" has been completed. now it goes through the process of intense listening and touch-ups. we're hoping to get it to WJJO before our next big show at the Annex on July 19th. the band plans on returning to the studio to do 3 more songs in about a month. probably looking to early next year for the next complete CD. the 4 song EP will be available in August. we'll also have all the songs from the EP posted here on the site for free download. stay tuned...

6/10/03 - the show this Saturday June 14th at the GRID IRON has been cancelled due to problems with the ALRC (Alcohol Licence & Review Committee). we may move it to another venue. we'll post it here if we do.

5/19/03 - very fun weekend of shows at the ANNEX in Madison on Friday and at Four Stools Short in Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday. we had a great time playing with the Donny Bakken Band, Agent Zero and Tub Ring. thanks to everyone who made it out, especially all the Madisonians who made the hour and a half drive to Rapids. we played for over 2 hours on Saturday and Buddo (Last Crack / Magic 7 vocalist) joined us for a rippin' version of Magic 7's "Drifter". watch for photos from both shows to be posted here soon.

5/12/03 - Johnny Danger gave "Live With Yourself" it's first airplay today on the WJJO morning show. you can hear the broadcast here. the band will be on the show this Friday morning (the 16th) at 9am. tune into 94.1 to check it out....

5/11/03 - "Live With Yourself" will be featured on the 94.1 JJO Local Stage next Sunday May 18th at 9pm.

4/29/03 - lead vocals are completed for "Get To You". Studio session booked for May 3rd to do the vocals for "Lurch". the final mix for "Live With Yourself" will be finished by next week. it will be released to radio by May 12th.

4/17/03 - more new shows added! another Grid Iron show (which will most likely be acoustic with some special opening acts) & another AMP ENERGY show at the Annex in July with a great line-up: Driver 13, Rapscallion and Devil With Cheese from Iowa.

4/16/03 - the band continues writing new material. a new song has been written called "Contact Buzz". it has been included in the live set and you'll get to hear it for the first time at the ANNEX show on May 16th.

4/14/03 - Muzzy will be playing the Summerfest Rockstage in Milwaukee again this year! check back for more details as they become available...

4/13/03 - the acoustic show at the Grid Iron was awesome! very good vibe. was great to play with Donny Bakken Band, they had some really good new songs. a lot of old friends came by to catch up. we'll be back for another show there very soon.

4/5/03 - The Imperial Palace show was interesting as always. Driver 13 and Agent Zero both played great sets. the weather was horrible but we still managed to get a nice crowd.

3/31/03 - the band's manager Gary Taylor begins meetings today in New York with 16 record labels to shop the new songs.

3/30/03 - the show in Sheboygan last night was a good time. some friends traveled with us on the almost 2 hour trek. all the bands were very cool and we hung out until the end. loading gear at sunrise in the cold was the only bummer of the night.

3/22/03 - lead vocals for tear me down are completed. rough mixes will be completed this week for the 2 songs that are finished so far. management will be shopping these to record labels in New York at the end of the month.

3/16/03 - lead vocals for live with yourself are completed. it's a totally powerful and heavy tune. Thrift's vocals are solid. more vocal sessions coming up this week. Mike gets back from driving Ferraris and Lamborghinis in Vegas for the past week.

3/11/03 - a second pressing of Symptoms Of A Simple Life is ordered. get one of the new batch hot off the press soon.

3/4/03 - the studio sessions at Sleepless Nights have been very productive. the band has been hard at work for the past 3 weeks recording 4 new songs ("get to you", "live with yourself", "lurch" & "tear me down"). the last of the guitar tracks will be finalized by the end of the week and vocal sessions will begin. preliminary mixing will be started in the next week also. look for the new music on this site by May. plans are already in the works for another group of songs to be recorded in the next 2 months. new Muzzy CD by fall????

2/9/03 - Wow, what a cool time at The Rave last night! who would have thought so many people would be out by 8pm? great crowd! all the bands were really cool too. look for more shows at The Rave with Muzzy coming soon....

1/19/03 - Muzzy has booked studio time at Sleepless Nights in Madison with sessions starting the second week of February. the band is hoping to get a good start on the recording of the next CD. some of the new songs that are being considered for these sessions are: "lurch", "odd logic", "tear me down" & "live with yourself". other song possibilities include "get to you" & "angel/devil". as always it's a very tough job picking which songs will make the cut. watch for live versions of some of the new songs to be posted on the downloads page soon.

1/1/03 - thanks to all who joined us for Rock The Eve 2003! what a night of musical history with Magic 7, Donny Bakken Band, Muzzy Luctin, Last Crack & Driver. Muzzy played a set chock full of new songs and the entire night was multi-track recorded live by John Machnik from Sleepless Nights Studios.
